DETAIL ENGINEERING (PRIOR TO EXECUTION)
The Detailed Engineering Service completes the development of all the project engineering at the construction detail level. The economic estimates associated with the detailed engineering are used to check previously made estimates.
The service is broken down into the following stages:
-
Justify the investment.
-
Approve all environmental and sectorial permits.
-
Recommend the execution modality: turnkey, EPC, EPCM, Owner's Management, etc.
-
Design and organize the start-up.
-
Design of the operation.
-
Schedule the activities to be performed.
Class 1 is established as the cost estimate associated with the Project at this stage with the objective of providing feedback to previous estimates.
Detailed engineering deliverables must be sufficient to:
-
Define the materials, prefabricated assemblies and equipment to be purchased in such a way that their quotation and suppliers are unambiguous.
-
Define the construction methods, acceptability criteria, tests, trials, etc. of the facilities to be built.
-
Define all geometrical and dimensional aspects necessary for the fabrication and assembly of the project components.
-
Define all the requirements for testing and testing of equipment and systems comprising the facilities.
The main concepts, activities and works to study, analyze, define and develop in this type of service are:
-
Detailed review of basic engineering.
-
Development of technical specifications of equipment and materials.
-
Development of functional specifications.
-
Dimensioning of ducts, piping and electrical installations.
-
List of equipment, instrumentation, valves, accessories and materials.
-
Detailed drawings of the installations.
-
Economic estimate of initial investment (CAPEX) = ± 5%.
